Saturday the boys had a t-ball game in the morning. M always hits really well and he's a switch hitter too! The coaches pitch 5 pitches and if the kids miss those 5 they use the tee. J always ends up with the tee. Not this week though! He hit the first time on the second pitch and the second time he was up to bat he slammed it right past the coach's head! Everyone was cheering and he was so proud!
In the afternoon I had a prenatal with a mom who is due in a few weeks. She is actually a mom who contacted me a few months ago and is a monitrice client of a friend. I'm just assisting with this one. The mom just decided yesterday to plan a homebirth-she's due at the end of the month! It should be an awesome birth!
I have another client due at the end of the month who wants a homebirth too. We're still not sure how it will all turn out but for now she is "planning" on a hospital birth. I know she really does not want to go to the hospital and we've talked about how you can't have a homebirth in the hospital. I'm interested to see what happens in the next few days!
Today our excitement was taking J to the emergency room. Last night he woke up in the middle of the night wheezing. He couldn't breathe at all and sounded like he was having an asthma attack. He doesn't have asthma (that we know of) but I do, and we have a family history of it. It makes me wonder if that could be why he gets bronchitis so often?
The diagnosis was bronchitis- again. This is the second time in 3 months. Poor J had a fever of 102 degrees when he got to the ER. They gave him some meds to use in my neb and of course sent him home with antibiotics. My kids NEVER take antibiotics. J is the only one of my kids to ever take them and this is the second time now. I hope they work. They x-rayed his lungs to rule out pneumonia, that's how bad he sounded when the doctor saw him.
Today I ran to get groceries with M, L & S while Jason took J to the ER. Then we all came home and I cleaned my sewing room/office. It's almost clean now and a lot more organized. I bought a bunch of cheap cardboard storage boxes this weekend. Now if I could get going on the HUGE pile of diaper fabrics that I still need to cut and sew. Hopefully before the 3-month old I'm making them for starts to potty train!
