And in other news, J had his speech evaluation this week. It confirmed what we already suspected-J has a speech delay. The good news is that the therapist says it should be easy to correct. The bad news is that the way to correct it is to clip his frenulum. It's not a big deal at all but he will have to go under general anesthesia to have it done.
His frenulum is very tight and apparently it's also very thick. It's so tight that J cannot stick his tongue out past his lips. He has always had difficulty chewing and eating and I suppose this would be why. The speech therapist said that she can't do anything with him until his tongue is clipped but she also thinks he may improve rapidly on his own once it's done. That would be great!
We go on November 6th to have a consult with the surgeon and will schedule the surgery then. Then J goes back for another evaluation in March. It will be so great for him to be able to speak clearly!
We finally finished our wood floors. I need to take pictures because they are beautiful! My brother helped finish them up this week. He left on Thursday and I miss him so much!
My brother is leaving for the Army after Thanksgiving. I'm so proud of him and at the same time I'm so scared for him. I hope that he is not shipped off to war. I love him so much and he is so important to me and the kids. Here are some recent pictures from his visit!
This was our feeble attempt to get all 4 kids (and Uncle Paul) in the same picture.
This was the best we could do... 3/4 isn't bad, right?

Could this be the sweet little girl that was covered in poop yesterday? Why yes, it is! I have (fortunately) never had a kid that cared to remove their diapers. That all changed recently when L decided that she would take off any diaper that had been pooped or peed in. So yesterday I discovered her in her crib after nap, covered in poop. It was in her hair, all over her, the crib, the blankets... everywhere. And there was the diaper, on the floor, with not a mark on it. I guess she will be spending more time on the potty these days!
