To all of those I know both in "real life" and online, I wish you a Merry Christmas!
We're busy here (as always) as I rush around getting things ready for the big day. We have church this afternoon when Jason gets off of work. Then we'll come home and eat dinner. Joshua is having some more asthma troubles with this cold he and Leila have so hopefully everyone will go to bed early tonight. Then Jason and I will bust out the eggnog! I've never had eggnog before so hopefully I'll like it although I can't have much because I'm on call for a birth right now.
This time last year I was at the hospital with a mom who ended up giving birth in the wee hours of Christmas morning. Her beautiful daughter was frank breech and it was such an awesome birth. She did it without any drugs and it was my first breech birth so it was very exciting!
Hopefully I'll have time to snap some pictures of the kids' gifts. I inherited an awesome antique dollhouse from a good friend who just moved. I spent a day painting and repairing and putting up new wallpaper. Then I made 4 Waldorf-style dolls out of bamboo velour and purple flower print fabric. I made 6 pairs of jammies-1 set for each child to open tonight and then a pair for each of the girls for tomorrow. We also refinished 2 antique doll cradles that once belonged to my mom and aunt and I made little pillows and blankets for them. I finally finished knitting Joshua's penguin hat too! Today we are just baking cookies for Santa and then this elf is hanging up her hat. I'm exhausted!
