We finally received official word that Jason will be attending Officer Candidate School (OCS) in the coming months. He has worked so hard to prepare for this and I am so excited for him! Now we wait again. We should find out in mid-May when exactly he'll be leaving. It looks like class could start as early as September. I'll be anxiously waiting to hear his class date since it means I'll be by myself for 6 months after he leaves.
I'm also reconsidering my decision to go to VA in July. Since the future is kind of up in the air at this point, I may need to be here. We have so much to finish before we can sell this house and I really would prefer to be in my own home for the birth anyway. But that would also mean that I'll be on my own as far as help is concerned.
Most likely Jason will leave sometime late this year or very early next year. When he finishes class we'll move to our next duty station-wherever that may be. We won't know the location until he starts class. Ideally, we would sell this house and move as he finishes class so the kids and I can go with him to the new location. However, I'm not sure I can handle selling the house without him here. I always have the option of staying here while he moves to the new location while we wait for the house to sell. So much to think about! I'm getting a knot in my stomach already!
