Ryan is a puker. Just like Joshua was, only not as bad. So far it's just one or two big projectiles each day. He's my little runt and he's the "Leila" of the boy twins. He's got the same hair and skinny face. He's the paler twin, just like her.
Nathan is my constant feeder. If he's awake, he's eating. He's the "Sarah" version of the boy twins. He's chunkier and he's redder. He has the same cowlick as her and both of them have hair that goes to the left side in the front. He was the calmer baby in utero, just like Sarah.
We are still battling this nasty thrush. It started to go away and then came back. That is the nature of the beast.
I'm feeling pretty good now. I only have 30 lbs to lose and Jason has been so happy to have the old Heather back. He's paying attention to me more and he's been much happier. And of course that makes ME happy! He's even commented on what a good job I've been doing keeping up with everything. The house is cleaner now than it was before the babies came. This is because I can physically do much more now, even 3 weeks out from major surgery. Go figure.
I've been taking the kids outside as much as possible so they can burn off energy. M has learned how to ride his bike without training wheels now! He is so proud of himself. (And yes, he wears a helmet but didn't have it on for the pictures.) The girls are trying to ride their trikes but they still can't reach the pedals.
For those that asked, here is my banana pancake recipe. I'll warn you that I'm nursing Ryan right now so this is from memory and I usually don't measure my ingredients. We make these when I buy overripe bananas and it's a favorite meal in this house. Yes, we usually make 3 dozen pancakes (not huge IHOP-sized ones though) and eat all of them between me and the kids.
Banana pancakes
3 cups of baking mix (if I have my own already made I use that or I'll use Bisquick)
3 eggs
4 bananas (peeled)
1 1/2 cups of milk
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp ground flax seed
1 tsp cinnamon
Mash the bananas in a bowl. Add the other ingredients and mix well. Spoon mixture onto a hot griddle.
That's it!
