4 twins in a tub
What could be more exciting than giving 6-month old twins their first real tub bath with their wild 2-year old twin sisters? Only having their rambunctious 4-year old brother try to jump in too.In the end I had 2 very clean babies, 2 somewhat clean girls, and a not very clean boy who just wanted to splash. I also had a very wet bathroom floor. We had to do bath night in my bathroom because I ripped up all of the flooring in the kids' bathroom. Yes, all 7 of us are sharing one bathroom right now. Of course 4 of the little people don't even use the potty yet so it's not that bad!
Just one week from today I will be smothering Jason with hugs and kisses. When we talk about seeing Daddy Leila squeals with delight. I really need to record it because she is just too stinking cute! Has it really been 3 months since Jason left? Has he really been gone for half of the babies' lives?
We have so much going on right now but today I can't trouble myself with thinking about anything except next week. I feel like I need to pinch myself! The OCS formal is in just 9 days. I'm happy to report that I only have 16 pounds to lose now. Obviously that won't happen before the ball, but I'm not complaining. Once I hit that magical 6-month mark post partum, the twin baby weight is finally ready to leave. Good riddance I say.
This week will be super busy for us and that should make it go quickly. Monday is Joshua's day for speech therapy and I always get groceries on the way home. Wednesday is my dental cleaning if I can find someone to watch the kiddos for an hour. Friday I have the impressions done for my braces. (Yes, I'm getting braces! Again! For the third time!)
Thank you all for your prayers and encouraging comments. I've made it through the first 3 months so I know I'll make it through the next 6 months too. God is so good!
