Just in case you wondered what it's like to "camp" with 6 young children, here's a few pictures of our recent trip. Note that we are not actually camping. We stayed in a cabin complete with running water, television, and full kitchen. We aren't crazy.Don't feed the bears. Appropriate shirts, huh?
Matthew remembered right away that we stayed in this same cabin last year. This is what you call a barrel cabin. It's a barrel shape and has metal on all sides. Great, except when it's pouring down rain and it gets so loud inside that your kids wake up thinking they are stuck under a highway bridge. And your dog is shaking with terror because he thinks it's an earthquake or something... But otherwise it's a pretty cool cabin!
Ryan took this opportunity to learn how to climb stairs. Joshua may or may not have helped him with that.
And yes, I really did hang my wet diapers out to dry all across the cabin. Not only was it drying the diapers but it also brightened the place up a bit, don't you think?
Diapers, diapers everywhere! Just like my house! Or not... we may have a new potty trainee in the family. I can't say any more than that. I don't want to jinx it.
