For those who are wondering, the yak tastes like chicken. Just kidding! It tastes like beef (or bison) but it's not as fatty. As a matter of fact, there was no grease in the pan when I browned it. We have eaten it in in spaghetti sauce, with black beans and nachos, and in a casserole. It's great! I've only tried the ground meat so I have just been browning it in a pan just like ground beef.
Thank you all for your laundry tips! I've now got Matthew and Joshua sorting socks (genius idea!) and I'm going to experiment with laundry soaps too. I'm still working on getting that crayon out. And I think I'm going to with an energy efficient top loader, just for the fact that I wash a lot of diapers.
We are headed to the grand Canyon this afternoon. If we come back with all 6 kids, I'll consider that a successful trip. My mother is worried that someone will get too close to the edge. Maybe we'll put leashes on them just in case...
