I found out last week that a friend of mine (back in Georgia) just lost her husband in a car accident. It was obviously sudden, unexpected, and tragic. She is a mother to 6 children too. I have met her husband before and they have such a beautiful family. It breaks my heart to think about their loss.
I'm trying to keep things in perspective here. I'm not the only Army wife to move an entire household by herself. I'm certainly not the only mother to 6 young children. I may be alone now, but I know that at the end of next year Jason will come home from Iraq and we'll be a family again. I have to count my blessings.
Currently I am buried under piles of boxes and my patience is virtually non-existent as my stress level hits an all-time high. I'm spending my "me time" doing mundane tasks like showering or eating. Or looking through some of the photos from our recent adventures. When I came across this rainbow that I saw on the top of a 14,000 foot peak in the Rocky Mountains, I had to share it. It reminds me that no matter how bad things are right now, there is a promise of better things to come.
Have you ever seen anything so beautiful???
