We arrived on Sunday night after a grueling 13 hour drive. We pulled up at the new house only to discover that the power had not been connected as promised. It was dusk. I had no flashlights and no running water. So we headed to my sister-in-law's house and spent the night there. The power was turned on the next morning and I've been hauling boxes in and out since then.
I must be insane for driving across the country by myself, right? Well, I'm even more crazy to try to move an entire household by myself too. My nephew has been helping me load and unload the trailer as we drag everything out of storage and down the street to the new house.
I don't have internet access yet but I should be back online in the next couple of days. Meanwhile, someone hacked my Facebook account so if you start getting messages from "me" claiming that I'm in the UK and need money, please ignore them. I'm safe and sound here in Virginia with my trusty van full of kids.
Thank you all for your prayers for our trip. I know that it was your thoughts and prayers that made it possible for me to get back here safely! I can't wait to share details from our trip-it has been my biggest adventure yet!
