It's a classic!
Our annual trek to visit Santa resulted in 2 very angry babies who were not wanting to get out of their stroller. Combine that with Joshua's ripped jeans and Leila's not-quite-appropriate-with-the-church-dress sneakers, and this is what you get. Santa laughed himself silly!
Did I mention how there was a 4 hour waiting list to see Santa at our usual mall? And how we had to drive all across Northern Virginia to get to the other mall where Jason waited patiently in line for an hour and I fed 6 kids by myself in a crowded mall 2 days before Christmas in a tiny cafe that had standing room only? Oh, the things we do for our kids.
And with that, I'm finishing my last blog post of 2009.
My resolutions for next year are:
*Run a 7-minute mile (like the good old days when I was a twenty-something)
*Visit 5 new states (our drive to WA should accomplish that)
*Shower at least every other day (sad that this is my New Year's resolution, huh?)
*Do something for myself at least once a month
*Mail Jason a care package every Monday
*Give each child a special time with me once a month to do something they love
Tonight, please be safe as we ring in a new year! I wish all of you the best in 2010 and I can't wait to see what it will bring.
Happy New Year!
