My sweet Seven walked today. Not just a couple of steps... she stood up and walked 5 or 6 steps, stopped, sat down, and clapped. Then she did it again. And again. The kids were all cheering and clapping for her but I was ready to cry.
I am really not ready to have a curious little toddler exploring our decidedly un-childproofed house. She's a pro at spotting a stray Lego or a random piece of a leftover sticker. Time to banish the bouncy balls and block off the bathrooms.
Oh, and it's time to move too. So that means baby-proofing whatever hotel we happen to be staying in as we travel to wherever it is the Army sends us. Let the chaos begin!
(I am thanking my lucky stars that there is only one mobile baby in the house this time!)
